How to Stop a Cold Sore Fast
Feel a cold sore coming? If you are currently experiencing an outbreak or feel one coming and are looking for a quick fix, you can use things that you likely have lying around.
Apply ice to the area for at least 5 minutes to cool down the tingling and slow down the outbreak. Once you've iced the area, apply some toothpaste and leave it on overnight. You can put a pimple patch or tiny band aid over the toothpaste if you don't want it to be messy while you sleep or if you simply don't want anyone to ask too many questions. Doing this stops the breakout in its tracks. If you already have an existing breakout, the ice won't work since the sore is already there. But, with a bit of persistence, you can apply some pure tea tree oil diluted with a bit of coconut oil or olive oil to dry out the cold sore faster. Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly for at least 30 seconds with warm, soapy water before and after touching the affected area.
"For with God nothing will be impossible."
